Annual prize distribution function was held at Sikh National College Banga. In this, the students who stood first in the examinations of different classes were honoured. Among them were Amanjit Kaur MA English, Sukhjinder Singh BBA, Arnjot Kaur BSc Medical, Harjap Singh DCM who got first place from Guru Nanak Dev University. Apart from these, 61 students who got merit in the university were also specially honored.
IPS officer Inderbir Singh attended the function as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasized on the importance of following a constructive mission by staying connected with reality for the success of life. They also shared memories of the early struggle and journey to success in their native town Banga. Principal of the college Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder gave the welcome speech and highlighted the achievements of the college in education and other fields.
Former chairman of Punjab Markfed Malkiat Singh Bahdowal, founder of Karan Hospital Banga Dr. Bakhshish Singh, representative of the local unit of the college, Jarnail Singh Palli Jhikki, president of the old students' association of the college, Prof. Pargan Singh Atwal, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Adarsh School Khatkar Kalan Principal Rajbinder Kaur Bains were also present.
